FAQ
Scan markers are made of PEEK plastic which has a contrasting surface easily visible to the scanner. They are also durable and stable enough for repeated use.

Tell me how to choose the size of the gum shaper. If everything is more or less clear with the height, depending on the thickness of the soft tissues above the bone, then with the diameter, not everything is so obvious. Thanks

The biggest diameter you can fit that matches to tooth size. Nothing more annoying than causing a pt pain trying to get a restoration in place.

In height, not only the thickness of the soft tissues matters but also the position in relation to the occlusal plane. The gingiva former must never come into contact with the opposing teeth. Ideally, the shaper protrudes 2 mm above the gum level. As for the diameter, in most cases, it should correspond to the diameter of the implant. But indeed there are times when you should deviate from this rule. For example, a deep (subcostal) implant fit, or the thickness of the soft tissues is not enough to suture the gum well around the shaper with a diameter of 6 mm. Then it is necessary to install a shaper with a smaller diameter of 4.5-5 mm, and after the initial healing of soft tissues, replace it with another one of a suitable diameter. I like the gum formers from Uniqa Dental, there are diameters from 4.5 to 7 mm, you can order implant-fitting formers separately and there are separate ones for the multi-unit abutment. Very comfortably.
